Portishead Primary Care Resource Centre

The building work has started on the new Portishead Primary Care Resource Centre (PCRC), which will provide vital new facilities for the Harbourside Family Practice’s general practitioners and primary care services.

With a capacity for up to 15,000 patients, the practice will be able to welcome people who have recently moved to the new marina area alongside existing patients – bringing vital healthcare facilities closer to home.

The scheme will see a host of benefits being felt by the community, including:

• Quicker access to diagnosis and treatment, with a reduction in waiting times and delays
• Community based alternatives to acute hospital care
• Greater choice and convenience
• Better access to care closer to home
• A better patient experience
