"Seeking Your Views"

Maternity and newborn services exercise finished on 17 October 2008

The maternity and newborn services review "Seeking Your Views" exercise ran from 30 June until 17 October 2008. During this time we held public meetings across Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire, met with community groups such as twin and multiple birth groups, fathers groups, and antenatal and postnatal groups, to get their views on the suggested changes outlined in the "Seeking Your Views" document.

We also held meetings with staff from North Bristol Trust, University Hospitals Bristol, Bristol PCT, South Gloucestershire PCT, North Somerset PCT, Weston Area Health Trust and the Great Western Ambulance Service. We asked for your views via this website and there was a great response to the document, evident by the large number of postal forms we received in the BHSP office. All of the valuable contributions received as part of this exercise has now be collated by an independent report writer and two reports produced, both available below.

The following document is a report featuring the final recommendations for maternity and newborn services in Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire, as a result of the consultation.
