Maternity and Newborn Service Development Group
The Maternity and Newborn Service Development Group was established to implement the improvements identified as part of the Maternity and Newborn Services Review (2007 - 2009).

The Maternity and Newborn Service Development Group is made up of a range of stakeholders from the following groups:
- Commissioning
- Public Health

- Patient/user representatives
- Clinical representatives from primary and secondary care
- Managerial representatives from primary and secondary care
- Voluntary and community organisations
The group has six work stream sub groups with agreed Terms of Reference:

The group has a range of objectives to improve maternity and newborn services throughout Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire.
Maternity Services Liaison Committee
The Maternity Services Liaison Committee is the voice for women and their families who use maternity and newborn services before, during and after pregnancy. It plays a crucial role in identifying the needs of local communities and in holding service commissioners and providers to account to ensure that these needs are met.
