Getting Involved
What is the Patient Carer and Public Involvement process?
The Patient Carer and Public Involvement process contributes to the effectiveness of service design by ensuring that the experiences and views of patients and carers about the particular service are integral to the design process.
How does Patient Carer and Public Involvement work?
Irrespective of the Service Design Group, or the particular design process, there are structures and processes put in place to ensure that effective Patient Carer and Public Involvement occurs.
This ensures that:
- patients are able to share their experiences of the particular service
- these experiences inform the service design
- and, if relevant, patients are able to give their views on different service design options.
