South Bristol Community Hospital
South Bristol Community Hospital will include inpatient beds, diagnostics, day surgery, urgent care, outpatient clinics and community dental facilities.
Health services at the community hospital will include:
- A walk-in minor injuries unit and a GP out-of-hours service
- Operating theatres for day surgery
- Inpatient beds for stroke and rehabilitation
- Clinics for a range of outpatient appointments
- Diagnostic tests such as X-rays, scans and endoscopies
- Dental services and training for student dentists
The South Bristol Community Hospital will take on many of the services currently provided by the old Bristol General Hospital, which will close once South Bristol Community Hospital is open in Spring 2012
